Flower Salt.
This natural sea salt comes from an ancient mill called Moranella in the salt pans from Trapani. The salt pans fill with sea water in the spring and the water evaporates over the summer thanks to the Sicilian sunshine and strong African winds. All this salt is harvested and packed by hand.Fiore de sale is made from the small clusters of sea ‘foam’ which form in the top corners of the salt pans. The salt makers hand sweep the delicate foam from the surface and leave it to dry in straw baskets. This precious salt is completely natural, made only by the sun, wind and sea.
